Windturbine RUK / Renewable UK Wind Turbine medical is an assessment of fitness to work on offshore and land based projects for the renewable energy sector. RenewableUK have defined the content and criteria of the medical.
Just-Health offer RenewableUK or RUK Medicals from our clinics. These medicals are designed to detect and assess any medical conditions that may compromise safety by creating a risk of falling or sudden incapacity requiring rescue and assure capability for regular climbing of vertical ladders and for working in hot and/or confined spaces. Together these ensure an individual’s fitness to work within the wind turbine environment.

Following the assessment a certificate will be issued in accordance with Annex I of Issue 2 (2013) of RenewableUK Medical Fitness to Work.

We provide nationwide coverage, Our Medicals are completed by our competent GMC registered doctors, simply book yours today.
- Current (in date) photo ID for example passport or national ID card.
- Medical reports from your GP or hospital Specialist, if there is an ongoing or new health issue.

- Urinalysis
- BMI – measurement of height, weight and calculation of Body Mass Index
- Visual acuity (near and distance) and visual fields test
- Pulse and Blood Pressure Measurement
- Lung Function Test (spirometry)
- Audiogram (hearing test)
- Chester Step Test
- Your RUK Certificate will be issued at the end of the appointment, unless a medical condition is found which requires consultation with the employer and/ or Authority. The longest duration of the certificate is 2 years.
