Telehandler Operator – Our telehandler operator medical includes a certificate of medical fitness that has been signed by a licenced medical professional. This indicates that you meet the appropriate degree of medical standard in order to operate plant machinery and drive vehicles.
According to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), all forklift truck drivers and Telehandler Plant Operators are required to get a medical examination in order to comply with group 2 driving requirements.
What is plant machinery?
The word “plant” may refer to any piece of machinery, equipment, or apparatus that is employed in an industrial process.

- Details of any ongoing medical conditions.
- Prescription medications that you are taking.
The examination will only take around 15 minutes. It includes an eye test, Blood pressure check, physical examination and BMI Check. You will be asked questions about the following topics:
- cardiovascular system including high Blood pressure.
- endocrine system such as diabetes
- musculoskeletal such as back pain.
- neurological such as stroke
- psychiatric such as depression.
- Alcohol and drug history
The doctor will complete the form based on your answers, medical history, medications and the results of the examination findings.
