We provide Safety Critical medicals with a certificate of medical fitness that comply with National standards (Health & Safety at Work Act 1974). The medical demonstrates that you reach the required level of medical standard to undertake safety critical tasks. Under Health and safety legislation employers have a duty of care to prevent injury & ill health to employees/ workers. Safety Critical Medicals are recommended periodically.

All safety critical medicals consist of :
- A Safety Critical Questionnaire to establish your Medical History
- Blood pressure check, Pulse, Height, Weight, BMI
- Urine test for glucose, blood & proteins
- Finger prick test for Glucose
- Audiometry Test (hearing test)
- Respiratory Test ( Lung Function test)
- Eye test including visual acuity, colour vision and peripheral vision screen
- Physical examination to assess Mobility / Musculoskeletal systems ,and a cardiovascular / respiratory / abdominal examination
- Psychiatric screen
- Dermatology assessment (skin check)
Additional Optional tests can include:
- Alcohol and drug Testing
- Working at Height assessment
- Confined space assessment
- Night worker assessment
- Hand-Arm Vibration assessment (HAVs)
The doctor will issue a fitness certificate based on your answers, medical history, medications and the results of the examination findings.

A fitness certificate is issued as listed below. In order for the certificate to remain valid you will require an annuall medical assessment.
- Age 18-54 > 3 yearly fitness certificate.
- Age 55-64 > 2 yearly fitness certificate.
- when you turn 65 you will be issued with an annual fitness certificate.
