Taxi Driver Medicals Liverpool

Our General Practitioner can provide taxi driver medicals. Local authorities (rather than the DVLA) determine who may carry them out. Most local governments allow any GP to provide taxi medicals, however others require only the driver’s personal GP to do so.

To prevent disappointment, please receive the needed medical form and check with your local authority that any GP may conduct your medical before booking.

Liverpool City Council governs the city of Liverpool in Merseyside, England. It is made up of 90 council members, three from each of the city’s 30 wards.

WHAT’S AT STAKE
Our examination will differ depending on whatever Local Authority decides what questions and tests are included in the medical. However, all medicals include an eye exam and a blood pressure check. Every medical must adhere to the same rules that a driver must adhere to in order to meet Group 2 Medical Standards. By going to your Local Authority’s website and looking for ‘Taxi Licensing,’ you may discover your medical form and learn more about what’s required.
